Theory of special relativity assumes that speed of light is constant in vacuum. It does not stipulate that objects cannot travel faster than light. This assumption has been made because the derivation of Lorentz factor yields imaginary number values for speeds greater than ‘c’, which leads us to assume that faster than light speeds are impossible.
But what if mathematics is trying to tell us something with imaginary numbers which we are unable to understand at this stage? Hence, this problem may be tackled by understanding the connotation of imaginary numbers. I have been researching the subject for a couple of years and have found that imaginary numbers are not impossible possibilities, on the contrary mathematics is telling us that at speeds faster than light, we move into a different dimension where everything including time gets reversed and inverted.
It is possible because what we know as number line
is actually a number loop with an "i' dimension. This discovery is not
only important for mathematics, but it also solves the problem of faster than
light speeds while giving likely insights into dark matter, gravity and time
travel. It even brings out a very intriguing possibility that the objects we see in our
skies at night, some of them are only mirror images of objects in 180 degrees
opposite direction.
AND YES FASTER THAN LIGHT TRAVEL IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT CONTRADICTING ANYTHING IN SPECIAL OR GENERAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY!
